Within the context of the Cagliari Port’s new regulatory plan, the study aims to verify a new type of harbour structure between the Dogana and Sanit piers, overlooking Via Roma. The project includes the infrastructural redefinition of Via Roma and the rationalization of public and private flows within the area. The intervention reasons with the redevelopment of the whole waterfront, identifying, within the area of Su Siccu, the project for the requalification of the harbour, the recovery of the Magazzini del Sale (or old Salt Warehouses) and the site for the new museum of Nuregic Art, the cornerstones of a new system of spaces between city and sea.
