The new cruise terminal is a building which belongs both to the port and the city. Imagined as a complex urban building, it is both a transit space for travellers and tourists, and an urban place with city-oriented activities. Coming on a boat is just one of the ways to approach this new building. Travellers get off upon the terrace, where comme­rcial services are, and their paths cross the ones of the inhabitants of Salerno, who land to the terminal from the city waterfront. The swimming pool on the terrace will provide an intense use of the terminal over summertime.
