On Unione Sarda an interview with Stefano Boeri, presents the book “Costa Smeralda” by Cesare Cunaccia, edited by Assouline of New York on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Consorzio Costa Smeralda.
The architect talked about the uniqueness of the emerald architectural style, born of the work of the architect-sculptor Jacques Couelle and the other architects who designed the area in 1962 on the initiative of the Aga Khan, starting from the relationship with shapes and materials from nature in Sardinia (primarily, granite and wood).
“My style is a completely different style from that of the Costa. I believe the capacity of innovative green spaces which could elevate the livability and sociability of neighborhoods and residential areas. I don’t follow the shapes of nature, but bring living nature into my architecture, shapes and colors are incorporated ”, declares Stefano Boeri.
