Umrisse, the German architecture magazine, presents the Trudo Vertical Forest designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti in Eindhoven and inaugurated in the autumn of 2021. The 75m high residential building houses 125 social housing units and 125 trees, about 5,200 shrubs and plants distributed on the four sides.
“Thanks to the use of prefabrication, to the rationalization of certain technical facade solutions and therefore to the optimization of resources, the vertical forest of trudo achieves economic sustainability, essential element in buildings intended for social housing”, says architect Francesca Cesa Bianchi, partner and project director at Stefano Boeri Architetti.
