Striscia la Notizia dedicates a report, for the column Green Hope by Luca Sardella, to the Bosco Verticale of Milan, a skyscraper covered with plants designed by Boeri Studio (Stefano Boeri, Gianandrea Barreca, Giovanni La Varra) with botanical advice from Studio Laura Gatti. Roberta Peverelli, of Peverelli SRL, spoke on the aspects related to the choice of green.
The project houses 800 trees and 20,000 perennial plants and shrubs, which are selected before the executive project and pre-cultivated for two years in “tree nursery”, specialized nurseries to care for the growth of plants up to 9 meters high.
The report also explains the innovative cultivation system: the trees are grown in “air pots”, a system of pots that guarantee a healthier and more natural root growth.
