In the first episode of the new season of “Di segni e di forme,” an original podcast by Radio 24 where Italian architects and designers share their stories, Chiara Albicocco and Marialuisa Pezzali interview Stefano Boeri. They start from the inspirations in his professional activity as an architect and urban planner, then present some of the most important projects by Stefano Boeri Architetti.

He has been able to bring life’s passions into his design approach, from his love for the sea to his passion for politics. His iconic buildings, such as the Villa Mediterranée in Marseille and the Vertical Forest in Milan, the latter being a forerunner of many themes related to sustainability and biodiversity in urban contexts, bear witness to this. He has contributed significantly to the reflection on the city of the future, which for Stefano Boeri is represented in the concept of the archipelago city.
“The obsession with trees and the idea of a relationship between culture and nature have accompanied me in my professional life, as has politics. The Vertical Forest we built in Eindhoven, accessible to young couples and students, is a political choice of mine,” says Stefano Boeri.
