Platform-Ad publishes an article on Stefano Boeri Architetti last project in Treviso designed for Cazzaro Costruzioni group.
Cà delle Alzaie is a project for a residential complex close to the city but completely immersed into a private garden on one side and establishing a direct connection with the river park on the other side thanks to a public cycling path which is directly connected to the historical city center. The three buildings are going to host on their facades 120 trees and 400 shrubs that can produce more than 2,7 tons of oxygen per year.
The project is part of the Urban Forestry research that the office is investigating from the scientific point of view, the urban design field and the architectural one whose the first example is the Milanese Vertical Forest built in 2014 by Boeri Studio. The investigation aim is to propose models and practices that could counteract Climate Change effects in urban areas: improving environmental conditions absorbing fine dusts and CO2, lowering the heat island effect in the city, producing oxygen and favouring biodiversity development.
