In the Anglo-Saxon magazine Livingetc, an article by Keith Flanagan dwells on the choices that the world of architecture and design are facing in order to meet the challenges of climate change: no longer merely formal, characterised by polluting materials or impositions on the surrounding environment, but defined by adaptation to existing climatic conditions and the use of nature-based solutions to minimise environmental impact.

As virtuous examples of this change of priorities in the world of architecture, the projects of the Bosco Verticale in Milan and Trudo Vertical Forest in Eindhoven are cited, designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti as examples of cohabitation between the human and natural spheres: the former as a model of a new architecture of biodiversity, the latter as an advancement of the typology, for the first time intended for social housing.
