On InGenio a description of the urban settlement of the Smart Forest City of Cancun, a self-sufficient reality from the energy point of view, able to accommodate up to 130 thousand inhabitants on an area of 557 hectares, including 400 hectares destined for greenery with over seven million and a half of plants belonging to different species, including 260 thousand trees, shrubs and bushes. The importance of a collaboration with other consultants and professional figures is underlined by the words of the architect Francesca Cesa Bianchi – partner and project Director who oversaw the details of the Smart Forest City together with Stefano Boeri – for the creation of an urban reality inhabited by universities and Research Centers capable of attracting professors and students from all over the world.
State-of-the-art technology, a system of waterways, a desalination tower and eco-friendly mobility are just some of the characteristics of the newly founded city where humans and trees take on the same quality of inhabitants.
