On Il Mattino, an article reports the presentation of the new intervention plan of Padua, Stefano Boeri presented the philosophy of the project to the citizens of Padua on 29 November 2021.
“The identifying power of the individual districts is a peculiar characteristic that Padua has managed to maintain over time, but it must be supported and strengthened. The city of fifteen minutes is nothing more than transforming the old “star” urban scheme (where most of the services were concentrated in the city center) into an archipelago structure, where each “island” has its own independence. The Intervention Plan arises precisely from the study of the specific necessity of each of these individual micro-communities”, says Stefano Boeri.
