In spring, the Refectory for Amatrice, designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti, was inaugurated with a solidary lunch. The project is realized thanks to the solidarity of who joined the fundraising campaign “Un aiuto subito. Terremoto Centro Italia 6.0” of Corriere della Sera and TgLa7 together with crowdfounding platform Tim WithYouWeDo.
The studio Stefano Boeri Architetti designed a small food village, where the Refectory is the main building of the complex, while in the space in front of it will be placed small prefabricated buildings destined to restaurants and local gourmet entrepreneur.
The construction system creates a central courtyard in which will be placed Radura, wood sculpture signed by Stefano Boeri and presented during Salone del Mobile 2016.
With this food area, the reconstruction of this country heavily affected by the earthquake has begun.
