GDApress dedica un articolo al volume “BOSCO VERTICALE. Morphology of a Vertical Forest”, edited by Stefano Boeri Architetti and published by Rizzoli to mark the tenth anniversary of the Vertical Forest in Milan (Boeri Studio).
The book retraces the history of the Vertical Forest, with an editorial structure that evokes the growth of a tree: the roots are the intuition of an idea generated from creative and artistic inspirations; the trunk corresponds to the genesis of the project, the challenges faced, the impact of the Vertical Forest on the transformation of the area and the urban landscape; the branches, finally, are the life of the Forest: on the one hand the positioning in the context of international architecture, marking a change of trajectory towards the integration of living nature in the urban environment, and on the other the autonomous path as a symbol and catalyst of biodiversity, also in the collective popular imagination.
The book analyses all the aspects that characterise the Vertical Forest through contributions by Beatriz Colomina, Emanuele Coccia, Paul Hawken, Vittorio Lingiardi, Manuel Orazi, Matilda van den Bosch, James Wines, with an unpublished photographic portfolio by Iwan Baan and shots by Paolo Rosselli, Giovanni Nardi, Dimitar Harizanov, Elisa Galluzzo, Laura Cionci and unpublished representations by cartoonist Enrico Pinto.
