While the world is becoming more and more digitalized, the design rediscovers the use of natural materials and sustainable technologies which try to intensify the connection with nature in the building environment. From finishings realized with natural materials to the use of wood for structural or decorative reasons, the use of elements deriving from nature is increasingly common in the fields of construction and interior design that generates the success of emerging tendencies as biophile or eco-friendly design.
Frankfurter Allgemeine reports the Vertical Forest among examples of contemporary architecture that serve as connection between construction and environmental respect. If vegetal elements on high-rise facades such as the ones of Vertical Forest in Milan or Singapore were suddenly considered not an excessive gesture but an attempt to act for the urban climate or to defy the concrete desert aesthetics, then why can’t we bring the Forest into the living room or the hall?
