The Corriere del Veneto dedicates an article to Stefano Boeri Architetti’s project for the new Intervention Plan for Padua, drafted by Stefano Boeri Architetti and MATE Società Cooperativa.
The plan is presented on the occasion of ‘Urban forestation for the changing city’, a day of in-depth discussion promoted by the City of Padua and organised by the international magazine TOPSCAPE PAYSAGE. Starting from the redefinition of the 33 districts – organisms that structure the shape and social morphology of the city – understood as a generative element of sustainable urban development, the plan defines new epicentres of the local community and daily life.
In the area of urban forestation, the subject of the 25 November meeting, the plan envisages 100 thousand square metres of new parks and public gardens and 70 square kilometres of tree-lined streets to enhance urban green connections, planting 40 thousand new trees.
