On Saturday 23rd July, the main Chinese national television channel CCTV interviews architect Stefano Boeri, who presents the Huanggang Vertical Forest: the first Vertical Forest built in China, designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti China. The CCTV journalist explains that the Vertical Forest in Milan, designed by Boeri Studio, has been classified into the concept of fourth generation residential building.
The Vertical Forest consists of two towers, 80 and 112 m high, which house a total of 800 trees, 15,000 plants and 5,000 shrubs.
” On one side, biodiversity will help us to strengthen immune system, on the other side, one of the ways to reverse global warming is to multiply the number of trees inside our cities,” says Stefano Boeri.
