On Agri-City, a French website dedicated to new forms of urban and peri-urban agriculture, an article describes the Cancun Smart Forest City, Stefano Boeri Architetti’s vision for the Mexican city.
The project is analysed mainly in terms of its energy and food self-sufficiency aspects, a successful response to contemporary challenges such as the housing crisis, climate change or overproduction of waste.
“Cancun’s Smart Forest City is an urban ecosystem in which nature and the city are intertwined and act as a single organism,” adds Stefano Boeri.
