Achitecture and design continue their key role in the revival of the community in the places affected and destroyed by the earthquake. This is the opinion of Milanese architect Stefano Boeri talking about his commitment to the reconstruction in Amatrice, in an interview for Adnkronos, during the Milan Design Week. Starting from the idea that the destruction is not limited to demolish roads and buildings, but mainly affects the ability to look towards the future, the architect explains: “Architecture and design can be used to recreate the conditions which make a community, first of all the job. We used materials such as wood, which is elastic and flexible, very suitable for seismic conditions”. The intervention of Stefano Boeri Architetti contributed to the creation of a school refectory and a food area in Amatrice, “providing new possibility of work to 130 people and a new revival of the economy. The work is the first step “.
