Tuesday 23 August Stefano Boeri participates in the visit of the main reconstruction sites in Amatrice, organized by the Commissioner Legnini together with the Municipality and with the Lazio Region on the occasion of the eve of the sixth anniversary of the earthquake in central Italy. In the area of the Don Minozzi complex, the largest private construction site of the reconstruction, the House fo the Future project designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti is under construction. The aim of House of the Future is to strengthen the idea of community spaces as they were conceived by Giovanni Minozzi: places of worship, but also of study and aggregation, imagined as semi-collective spaces dedicated to new functions, such as civic services, community life and hospitality.
“Don Minozzi – explains architect Boeri – will be one of the great components of the rebirth of Amatrice and will also be rebuilt with its rubble and this is an interesting process, both in terms of circular economy and for a specific symbolic value”.
