On Monday 15 May at 5.00 p.m., at the historical Palazzo Paternò in Caserta, the award ceremony of the ‘Luigi Vanvitelli’ Award, promoted by the Rotary Club Caserta, is held for Stefano Boeri.
The prize, now in its third edition, is awarded to personalities who have distinguished themselves through their activities in their local area.
The award, which takes on particular significance this year as it coincides with the 250th anniversary of the great architect’s death, is also presented to Francesco de Core, editor of ‘Il Mattino’, and writer Maurizio de Giovanni.
The prize-winners receive a commemorative bronze medal in a limited and numbered edition specially created for the Rotary Club Caserta Luigi Vanvitelli by the Caserta artist Don Battista Marello.
Also present at the event, which is open to the public, is the governor of Rotary District 2101, Alessandro Castagnaro.
Previous winners include: Antonio Giordano, founder of the Sbarro Institute, Giancarlo Nicoletti, Rector of the ‘Vanvitelli’ University, the Bishop of Caserta Pietro Lagnese, Massimo Franco, Professor of Business Organisation at the Federico II University of Naples, basketball coach and former Caserta basketball player Nando Gentile, and Raffaele Fontana, founder of the winery of the same name.
