The eighty-third session of the UNECE Committee on Urban Development, Housing and Land Management will be held at the Kursaal Convention Centre in San Marino from 3 to 6 October 2022. The aim of the Committee is to exchange experiences and good practices for the promotion of recovery plans in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On October 3rd, at the opening of the session, Stefano Boeri dialogues with Norman Foster, Jean Todd, Susan Aitken – Leader of Glasgow City Council – and Doris Andoni – chairman of the UNECE Committee on Urban Development, Housing and Land Management – on the relationship between urban macro-policies and the design practice of architects and urban planners.
In the context of the event, then, Stefano Boeri, Norman Foster and representatives of the San Marino Union of Architects and Engineers perform the symbolic act of signing the San Marino Declaration, based on the principles of sustainable and inclusive urban design and architecture in support of sustainable, safe, healthy and socially inclusive housing, urban infrastructures and cities.
