As part of Milan Green Week 2024, HeritACT –an European funded project that activates heritage through engaging experiences towards sustainable development by introducing innovative architectural design solutions and cultural practices to enable common action – is presenting two events dedicated to envisioning the future of cultural heritage of urban cascinas.
On Saturday, September 28, the “Two Cascinas to Learn” workshops to envision new ecological scenarios for Milan’s urban farmsteads will take place at two different times: in the morning, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in Cascina Linterno; and in the afternoon, from 3 to 5:30 p.m., in Cascina Sant’Ambrogio – CasciNet.
The events are organized by LAND – Landscape Architecture Nature Development, in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan, Stefano Boeri Architetti and THINGS, with support from Apicoltura Veca and CasciNet.
The program includes a 45-minute tour of Cascina Linterno and Cascina Sant’Ambrogio, guided by experts and offering an opportunity to explore the cascinas, dive into the history and values of these places, in line with the principles of beauty, inclusion and sustainability, and imagine the new ecological scenarios.
Tours start every 30 minutes from the start time.
