Today Stefano Boeri went to Amatrice to overview the construction site where the new school refectory and the food court projected by Stefano Boeri Architetti are finally rising. Amatrice is one of the small towns of Central Italy which have been destroyed by the earthquake in August 2016.
The first to be realized (within Christmas 2016) is the school refectory, then the whole food court will be built around the open courtyard and it’s expected to be finished within Easter 2017.
Due to the temporary destination of the buildings, restoration is to be easily switched to the other functions later on, once the town is rebuilt and needs other facilities
