On Friday, March 15th, the event “Where the Sacred Dwells, Designing the Spaces of the Spirit” takes place at the Triennale di Milano, as part of the SOUL Festival, promoted by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and the Diocese of Milan, with the participation of Stefano Boeri.
The SOUL Festival of Spirituality, held in Milan from March 13 to 17, is an opportunity to reflect on the “common humanity” in its various manifestations, in dialogue with different cultural sensitivities and religious traditions.
Stefano Boeri’s presentation focuses on the design of sacred spaces, drawing from two experiences: the valorization study of the Stupa of Ramagrama, a project by Stefano Boeri Architetti for the Buddhist archaeological site near Lumbini, Nepal, of extraordinary historical and cultural value (the Stupa of Ramagrama is the last site containing part of Buddha’s relics to remain intact); and the Abrahamic Family House designed in Abu Dhabi by architect David Adjaye, a complex that harmoniously brings together a church, a synagogue, and a mosque, combining architectural reflection and interreligious dialogue in a message of tolerance and coexistence.
Following the presentation, there will be a dialogue with Giuliano Zanchi, theologian, and Luca Bressan, curator of the SOUL Festival.
Other participants in the festival include: Alessandro Baricco, Vera Gheno, Antonio Spadaro, Mariangela Gualtieri, and Vito Mancuso.
