The opening of the first Pavilion of the Multifunctional Centre is a new important turning point toward the reconstruction of one of the most damaged areas by the earthquake that happened in central Italy.
“I was touched, today is the point of arrival of a difficult path. This structure was absolutely necessary for our reconstruction – said the Mayor of Norcia Nicola Alemanno – This building, class one, with new materials that can withstand any kind of earthquake, will be a cabin to manage any kind of emergency that our city will be called to handle“. The pavilion, which anticipates the other three structures (a congress center, a music building and a guest house) will now be “destined for our associations, who will be able to restart their activities. It will be a facility that will live every day, hosting the Service Civilian, senior citizens and a project, that we are pursuing with the European Union, for the arrival of young people engaged in Civil Protection from across Europe”.
