From May 20-22, 2024, the National Biodiversity Forum will be held in Palermo, with the participation of Stefano Boeri on Thursday, May 22.
The Forum is the first major scientific event of the National Center for the Future of Biodiversity, where more than 600 researchers from all over Italy will discuss sensitive issues such as the redevelopment of degraded areas, nature conservation, the relationship between nature and well-being, and the development of effective tools to prevent biodiversity loss.
The National Biodiversity Forum will see comparisons with young companies and large Italian companies to promote innovation activities on biodiversity coming from research and capable of generating new products and more sustainable processes.
During the days of the event, the Biodiversity Gateway, a gateway and connection dedicated to supporting the design of concrete international scientific and technological collaborations involving the Mediterranean, will be presented.
On Thursday, May 22, at the Complesso Monumentale dello Steri – Sala Magna, Stefano Boeri will present Green Obsession, the book that traces the path that Stefano Boeri Architetti (SBA) has followed in the last fifteen years of activity, aiming at defining the relationship between the city and nature.
The book reveals the processes and complexity involved in the search for a new kind of urbanism, raising questions and opening up new scenarios about the relationship between the human species and nature.
