The munich creative business week (mcbw), the largest design event in Germany, is being held in Munich for the 13th time, from May 11 to May 19.
With the annual motto “How to co-create with nature,” mcbw 2024 offers a platform for interdisciplinary exchange on relevant issues.
The program, organized by bayern design, includes nine days of exhibitions, debates and workshops for a wide audience, including design and architecture professionals and companies. Ranging from scientific to playful interpretations, the event formats will offer insights into the best ways to treat nature and create something new at the same time.
As Creative Explorer of mcbw 2024, Stefano Boeri will present at the mcbw design summit (May 13, 2024, h 4 p.m. at the Munich Urban Colab) “Green Obsession”, the vision of cities connected to nature through rooftop and community gardens, urban agriculture, parks and forests, which the Stefano Boeri Architetti studio pursues through research and urban projects.
This will be followed by a talk with other speakers: Maurizio Montalti, designer, researcher, entrepreneur and pioneer in the research and development of mycelium-based technologies and products; Daniela Bohlinger, Senior Expert Innovation Management at BMW Group; Laura Kiesewetter of the Institute for Computational Design and Construction (ICD) at the University of Stuttgart; and Tom Kortbeek, co-founder of Filip Studios in the Netherlands.
