On Monday September 25th at 9 p.m. at the Creative Hub of One Works studio, a new meeting of the cycle “Milano Modernissima. La nuova identità urbana” is held, conceived and moderated by Arch. Emilio Battisti, in which the design of the new Polyclinic of Milan by Boeri Studio is presented.
The event, attended by Marco Giorgio, partner and director of Stefano Boeri Architetti, together with Arch. Roberto Ravegnani Morosini, Arch. Isabella Inti of Temporiuso, the studio Barreca & La Varra and the studio LAND, which took care of the landscape design, focuses on the genesis and construction – the project is currently in under construction – of the intervention for the new Polyclinic, located in the historic centre of Milan.
In addition to the regeneration of the hospital buildings, the project is characterised by a roof garden of over 7,000 square metres, whose use is initially reserved for the patients and operators of the various wards, but which in the future will be open to the public for special events of a recreational and therapeutic nature. Among the major urban forestation projects planned in Milan, the roof garden of the Polyclinic is enriched by the added value of the chromotherapy potential of its landscape, with its changing essences in different seasons. It also contains a rehabilitation garden, furrowed by paths with different levels of difficulty linked to various types of paving.
An infopoint was also inaugurated in 2023 where it is possible to follow the project’s construction site.
