From October 23rd to the 27th, the Latin America and Caribbean Climate Week 2023 (LACCW 2023), an event for policy makers, practitioners, businesses and professionals to exchange knowledge on climate solutions, is held in Panama City, with the participation of Hana Narvaez, Director of Stefano Boeri Architetti.
Organised by the Government of Panama, together with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the event features talks and presentations on various topics, including Energy Systems and Industry; Cities, Urban and Rural Settlements, Infrastructure and Transport; Land, Ocean, Food and Water; and Society, Health, Livelihoods and Economies.
On Tuesday October 24th, within the session entitled Climate Action Planning training workshop, Hana Narvaez participates with a speech focusing on urban forestation strategies at different scales, starting from the urban planning and architecture projects of the Stefano Boeri Architetti studio.
The aim of this session is to help understand the various definitions and key steps, such as the construction of the Baseline Emission Inventory (BEI) and the conduct of the Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA); elements that form the basis for establishing objectives and strategically planning actions.
The session is organised in cooperation with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC).
