On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Bosco Verticale, Stefano Boeri presented the book BOSCO VERTICALE: Morphology of a Vertical Forest at the Italian Embassy in London during an exclusive event dedicated to this contemporary Milanese architecture. The Bosco Verticale has become a symbol of the city of Milan and an icon not only of green architecture but also a pop culture phenomenon, featured in films, TV series, quizzes, jewelry, fashion, advertisements, and songs.

During the evening, Stefano Boeri discussed the project—designed by Boeri Studio—with Nic Monisse, design editor at Monocle, and Francesca Cesa Bianchi, director and partner at Stefano Boeri Architetti.

The book, published by Rizzoli in collaboration with Stefano Boeri Architetti, was previewed in London ahead of its international launch in New York in March 2025, after which it will be distributed worldwide.

The book traces the history of the project, with a structure that evokes the growth of a tree—from roots to trunk to branches. The roots symbolize the conception of an innovative idea, sparked by creative and artistic inspiration. The trunk corresponds to the project’s genesis, the challenges faced in structural, technological, and environmental terms, the construction phase, and the impact of the Bosco Verticale on urban transformation and the cityscape. The branches represent the ongoing life of the Bosco: on one hand, its position within the context of international architecture, marking a shift towards integrating living nature into the urban environment, and on the other, its journey as an autonomous symbol and catalyst for biodiversity, even within popular collective imagination.
