On Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th of October BASE Milano hosts FUTURE4CITIES: the Festival of Changing Cities, conceived and designed by Will Media, FROM, BASE Milano and the European Commission’s Representation in Italy: a meeting open to the public to celebrate the most significant urban innovations and stimulate public debate and discussion on the challenges of the cities of the future, with Stefano Boeri Architetti taking part in it with various events.
On Wednesday 25 October at 7.30 p.m., as part of the events themed Imagined Cities, the live podcast of Globally The Challenges of Global Megacities is held, in which Stefano Boeri dialogues with journalist Silvia Boccardi and Francesco Rocchetti, General Secretary of ISPI, on the prospects of urban design in large cities in response to extreme changes due to global warming.
On Thursday 26 October at 11.30 a.m., as part of the events themed Cities to be designed, the Città Arcipelago workshop, organised by the Research Department of Stefano Boeri Architetti and MIC-HUB, is held, in which it will be possible to come into contact with examples and technologies for the design of sustainable cities, in contact with living nature.
The festival also includes a visit to the Bosco Verticale, in the context of the tour organised in the Porta Nuova district.
Livia Shamir, Project Leader of Stefano Boeri Architetti’s Research Department, is part of the jury.
