From November 28 to 30, 2024, the Future4Cities – The festival of changing cities takes place in Milan, where Stefano Boeri Architetti’s Research Department team and LAND present the HeritACT project.
On November 29, the workshop ‘Preparing for a Changing Climate’ explains how to implement effective and sustainable actions over time, aimed at responding to climate change, and how to adopt an approach characterised by four phases: study of the context; planning and design of the most appropriate actions; effective management of the implementation of actions; measurement and monitoring of results.
For each phase, a project is presented; during the workshop, the Research Department of Stefano Boeri Architetti and LAND analyse how HeritACT project contributes to collective action for an equitable and sustainable urban transformation.
The analysis and comparison allow to infer a set of key principles useful for the construction of effective and sustainable actions, in order to focus on a decalogue of principles to be adopted useful for designing and managing actions against climate change.
HeritACT is the project funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe programme, which introduces innovative and inclusive architectural and design solutions as well as artistic and cultural practices in support of environmental and cultural sustainability and the strengthening of cultural industries through community awareness and policy-making in European urban areas of different scales and cultural settings.
Speakers: Livia Shamir (Stefano Boeri Architetti), Valentina Galiulo (LAND), Guglielmo Ricciardi (CMCC), Gianluca Ruggieri (ènostra).
Moderator: Matteo Brambilla (Co-Founder FROM).
