On the occasion of the Architecture Bienniale, the Brussels Region organises on May 18th the seminar “Ecological Construction and Heritage”, chaired by Pascal Smet, Secretary of State of the Brussels-Capital Region, (in charge of Urban Planning and Heritage, European and International Relations, Foreign Trade, Fire Prevention and Emergency Medical Assistance) with the participation of Hana Narvaez, Director of Stefano Boeri Architetti.
From 9.40 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. is the Venetian Overview meeting, with an introduction by Guglielmo Pisana, Brussels-Capital Region Economic and Trade Counsellor at the Embassy of Belgium.
In addition to Hana Narvaez, the meeting is attended by Massimiliano De Martin, Councillor for Urban Planning of the City of Venice, Carmelo Marabello, Rector’s delegate, IUAV University and Ann-Marie Doyle, CEO, Sotheby’s real estate, on topics such as the state of the city from a housing point of view, land consumption and future prospects.

The meeting concludes with the Brussels Overview seminar, covering as key topics: affordable housing and construction costs; energy refurbishment of buildings and cultural heritage; circular construction economy and the role of architects.
