In the context of the Didacta Italia Fair, taking place at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Stefano Boeri takes part in the conference “School Construction: the coordinates of innovation”, on Wednesday 8 March at 2.30 p.m.
What are the dimensions of innovation in school construction? The aim of the conference is to open up a space for reflection and dialogue between actors from different disciplinary and professional fields in order to promote architectural solutions that take the form of modern learning environments. The need to go beyond a logic based on the classroom/corridor scheme opens up a challenging scenario that urges the world of schools, administrators and architects to search for new forms of organisation of educational space capable of accommodating and supporting active teaching/learning methodologies and didactic technologies that are now available in a pervasive and widespread form.
