In Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, the CTBUH International Conference entitled Humanizing High Density-People, Nature & the Urban Realm is being held from October 16th to the 21st, attended by Yibo Xu, partner of Stefano Boeri Architetti China.
On Tuesday October 17th at 11.30 am the presentation A Green Typology for Enhancing Urban Environments: Easyhome Vertical Forest City, Huanggang, sees as speakers Yongzheng Sun, General Manager, Beijing Easyhome Vertical Forest Real Estate and Yibo Xu, who presents Stefano Boeri Architetti China’s project of the Easyhome Huanggang Vertical Forest complex, located in the Chinese province of Hubei.
In particular, the project defines a new typology of green architecture, characterised by an alternation of open balconies and closed loggias that break up the regularity of the façade and create a continuous movement, accentuated by the presence of trees and shrubs that can grow freely in height, following the design of the façade. The two towers host a total of 404 trees, 4620 shrubs and 2408 square metres of perennials, flowers and climbing plants.
Then, on Friday October 20th at 4.15 p.m., Yibo Xu also participates in the Closing Plenary – Constructed Ecosystems: Today and Beyond, with an online introduction by Stefano Boeri – whose Bosco Verticale was awarded ‘Best Tall Building Worldwide‘ in 2015.
The main themes are the city and the environment, and their relationship in view of the upcoming climate change challenges.
Architects Javier Quintana de Una and Ken Yeang will also be speaking.
