The exhibition “Cittàlabellezzasmarrita – Opere e pensieri per una città nuova” opens in Rome on Monday, November 4, at 7:00 p.m. at the Casa dell’Architettura, providing a platform to discuss the future of the city and its lost beauty, with a contribution from Stefano Boeri.
The event is promoted by the Casa dell’Architettura, the Association of Architects PPC of Rome and its province, in collaboration with the International Research Institute and Abitacolo Magazine. The exhibition aligns with a special issue of Abitacolo, directed by Fernando Miglietta and Anna Maria Terremoto, which has become a prominent theoretical and creative meeting ground for the diverse languages and cultures shaping contemporary global society.
The works on display have been specially created for this event by leading figures in art, architecture, and culture: Mimmo Paladino, Luca Maria Patella, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Giulio Paolini, Daniel Buren, Armando Marrocco, Gian Maria Tosatti, Pablo Echaurren, Gianni Asdrubali; architects Massimiliano Fuksas, Paolo Portoghesi, Franco Purini, Laura Thermes, Andrea Branzi, Alessandro Melis, Alberto Ferlenga, Orazio Carpenzano, Cherubino Gambardella, Richard England, Beniamino Servino, Amedeo Schiattarella, Margherita Petranzan; designer Ugo La Pietra; writer Marcello Veneziani; musician and artist Michele Sambin; critic and artist Fulvio Caldarelli; sociologists Alberto Abruzzese and Massimo Ilardi; philosopher and critic Carmelo Strano; historian Marco Biraghi; theorist and critic Luca Molinari, among others.
