Caesar Design Film Award with Sala 5 Raphael's Cartoon Room

On Thursday, May 2, 2024, the Caesar Design Film Award evening will be held at the Teatro Astoria in Piazza Menotti in Fiorano Modenese (MO), with the documentary “Raphael’s Cartoon Room” as a finalist.

The objective of the Award is to create a bridge between the world of design and the world of film art, which today represents not only a form of entertainment and storytelling, but also a reality capable of engaging and educating all those interested in the world of design.

The installation Sala del Cartone di Raffaello in the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan is designed and built by Stefano Boeri Architetti.

The new hall, open to the public from March 27, 2019, is conceived to house Raphael’s preparatory work, and all the staging choices, starting with the sequences of approach to the great Cartone, are designed to prepare the public for the vision of a work that retains – intact – in itself an admirable conjunction of meanings, being at the same time a finished work and yet destined to prepare a concluding work.

The documentary Sala 5 – Raphael’s Cartoon Room, a short film made by The Blink Fish (Executive Producer: Paolo Soravia; Filming and Editing: Stefano Santamato) on the project by Stefano Boeri Architetti, is awarded along with the other finalists on the evening of Thursday, May 2, 2024.
