On Monday 2 December 2024, at 6 p.m., the foyer of the Teatro Franco Parenti in Milan (via Pier Lombardo 14) will host the public presentation of the book BOSCO VERTICALE, Morphology of a Vertical Forest, published by Rizzoli.
The volume, edited by Stefano Boeri Architetti, tells the story of the project with an editorial structure that evokes the growth of a tree with roots, trunk and branches: from the inspirations to the genesis of the project, from the structural challenges to the positioning in the context of international architecture, which has marked a change of direction towards the integration of living nature in the urban environment.
From the outset, the project for the two residential towers built in 2014 in the Porta Nuova district by Stefano Boeri (Boeri Studio) has been forward-looking, anticipating the new frontiers of urban living. Integrating architecture and living nature for the first time in the world, the Vertical Forest has been voted the world’s best skyscraper in the last ten years and is recognised as a symbol of the UN’s 11th Sustainable Development Goal.
The presentation of the volume opens with a dialogue between Stefano Boeri and Matteo Caccia, who will give an overview of the topics covered in the monograph and of the tenth anniversary of the Bosco Verticale.
The event is free to attend, but registration is required – subject to availability. To register: https://teatrofrancoparenti.it/spettacolo/incontro-con-stefano-boeri/
