On April 19th, Andrea Spadoni, BIM Manager, and Gabriella Coletta, BIM Specialist from Stefano Boeri Architetti, participated at the University of Pavia in the BIM (K)now! event series with a conference titled “Urban Regeneration – Challenges and Innovation”; an opportunity to explore the potential of the BIM process in the field of urban redevelopment.
BIM (K)now!, a Design Data Users format, is a series of meetings on BIM (Building Information Modeling) open to the public, organized and coordinated by Professor Vittorio Andrea Sellaro, lecturer of ‘BIM Laboratory’ at the University of Pavia. The meetings feature presentations by expert figures from professional studies engaged in activities related to digitalization, architecture, and engineering.
Andrea Spadoni and Gabriella Coletta attended the third event of 2024, presenting the implementation of Building Information Modeling within projects at Stefano Boeri Architetti, focusing on the challenges and future potentials of BIM usage as a practice in architectural design.
Among other participants and speakers at the events were Laura Tiburzi, BIM Unit Manager at “Mario Cucinella Architects”; Riccardo Pagani, CEO of “bimon”; Cinzia Gatto, engineer at “Italferr gruppo ferrovie dello stato italiane”; Mikael Santrolli (Design Systems Analyst @ Foster + Partners) and Architect Mauro Sabiu (AEC Design Technology Expert @ MKS DTECH); Fabrizio Bonatti (BIM Manager @ SUMs Architects); RPBW Renzo Piano Building Workshop, represented by BIM Managers Architect Giuseppe Semprini and Architect Ingrid Soulanges.
