IFDM features an article on the city of Eindhoven, a centre of just over 200,000 inhabitants in the southern part of the Netherlands, which has become a benchmark for innovation, art and design – hosting, among others, the Design Academy and Dutch Design Week (22-30 October).
Since the late 1980s, Eindhoven has seen an urban transformation that has tangibly modified its identity. Among the architecture firms that have contributed to the successful redesign of the city, Stefano Boeri Architetti is mentioned, thanks above all to the Trudo Vertical Forest project, the first case of vertical forestation combined with social housing, in the historic Strijp-S district.
