Wednesday, December 4, a speech by Stefano Boeri at the conference held at the Università Cattolica of Milan, on the theme “The Common Good in Milan: building social value and educational proximity”. A series of reflections by the Architect telling the meaning of Community at different scales, from the global one to the social and individual one. From the contexts of the favelas to the encyclical Laudato sì, a study that illustrates the link between architecture, climatic reality and urban community.
In addition to the Archbishop of Milan, Monsignor Delpini, several institutional offices of the Department of Social and Housing Policies of the Lombardy Region, the Municipality of Milan and the Municipality Peripheries Commission are invited to the conference. In the session entitled “Urban Places, Human Capital and Relationships” of which Stefano Boeri is part with an in-depth study on Urban Forestry, professional figures linked to various institutions, universities, architects, social enterprises and third sector involved in the promotion of common good in the Milan area are alternated on stage.
