On Friday 15 November 2024, at Libreria Verso, Milan, at 7 p.m., Matheus Cartocci presents his book ‘Il racconto dell’architettura. Scrittura e narrazione nell’opera di Stefano Boeri‘ (The Tale of Architecture. Writing and Narrative in the Work of Stefano Boeri), Quodlibet.
The book explores Stefano Boeri‘s contribution in all aspects of his multifaceted activity as a professional, an intellectual, an events planner and at the forefront of several cultural institutions.
Over the years, in fact, Stefano Boeri has been editor of Domus and Abitare magazines, through which he has described and communicated architecture to an increasingly broader public, using a new media language, a method that makes use of narrative schemes, neologisms and a visual ‘overdose of variety’ – all of which preceded the realisation of the Vertical Forest, inaugurated ten years ago, in 2014.
The book therefore frames Stefano Boeri’s work as architect and narrator, who, as the author states, is ‘probably the most present Italian architect on the current media scene, but also among the least studied’. Matheus Cartocci – who worked for a time at Stefano Boeri Architetti – focuses in particular on Boeri’s collaboration with Rem Koolhaas, architect, writer and point of reference.
Azzurra Muzzonigro, Matteo Poli, and Manuel Orazi will be speaking at the event.
