From November 5 to 7, the Smart City Expo World Congress—the world’s largest event for urban innovation—takes place in Barcelona. Participants include Livia Shamir, Director of Research, and Luis Pimentel, Senior Researcher, for Stefano Boeri Architetti.
This annual event brings together leaders from businesses, governments, and global organizations to advance cities towards a better future, aiming to spread urban innovation worldwide and empower cities to tackle critical challenges of both the present and future.
On November 7 at 11:30 a.m., the session Lessons Learned on Pilot Project Implementation will be held at the EU Pavilion, organized by the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM). This session will present international case studies supporting climate action plan implementation. Livia Shamir and Luis Pimentel will discuss Green Corridors Implementation: Collaboration between Independencia Municipality, Santiago de Chile, and Stefano Boeri Architetti, a pilot project on green corridors for the municipality of Independencia, Santiago.
Other participants in the session include Keshav Jha, representing the State of Himachal Pradesh and Shimla Municipal Corporation; Raphael Jatteau, CEO of CocoParks; and Anne Marieke Eveleens, Co-Founder of The Great Bubble Barrier.
