Corriere della Sera publishes an article dedicated to the presentation to all tenants of the project for the redevelopment of the public housing units managed by ALER in the U.O.G. Monza Brianza, on the occasion of the resumption of works on April 8th, 2024.
The President and the General Director of ALER officially kick off the works, supported by the team of Stefano Boeri Architects, with architect Pietro Chiodi, Partner and Director, and architect Paolo d’Alessandro, Project Leader.
The redevelopment project of the area at Via Baradello 6, 12 in Monza, financed through funds from the “Safe, Green, and Social: Redevelopment of Public Housing” program – PNC PNRR, pays particular attention to energy efficiency, including the installation of thermal insulation on the facade and the replacement of windows for the 95 involved units. Starting from the redevelopment of public housing spaces, the project also introduces a system of balcony walkways, which integrate and extend the internal space, along with green elements on the facade and equipped social spaces, aimed at making common areas more livable and inclusive.
The primary goal of the project is indeed to improve both the architectural quality and the residents’ quality of life. The intervention proposed by Stefano Boeri Architects for the social housing in Monza is indeed a demonstration that energy self-sufficiency and social inclusion can be the two pillars of a regeneration of Italian public housing.
